You Are With Me
Soft and dreamy pale pink geraniums grow in a terracotta pot against a creamy wall, reminiscent of European architecture. This painting was inspired by the pink geraniums I planted - a tradition I have in memory of my grandfather who always planted red geraniums. While painting this collection, I came across Psalm 23, one of my grandmother’s favorites, and when I read verse 4, I knew that the painting would be called “ You Are With Me.” It is in the little things, like a pot of geraniums, that people remain with us, and it is also in those little things that we see beautiful reminders that God is with us and there to comfort us also.

BLOOMING IN TIME COLLECTION
This painting is a part of the Blooming In Time Collection, a collection of floral elements rooted in the beauty of slowing down and being present in the moment, inspired by my own memories, drawing in elements of my past, and infused with dreamy outlooks for the future.
There is much beauty in the value of time, in the ability to be truly present in a moment. And yet, it is easy to find ourselves pulled to memories of the past or dreams of the future. Sometimes, it seems that those memories and dreams may drown out the beauty of the present, but that’s where we all have a choice: a choice to use those memories and those dreams to fuel the present, to see the true value in the moment we are in, and to allow them to make the present even more beautiful. Let’s allow ourselves to bloom in the fluidity of time.
